About

I write about the human experience & I view life as one big experiment.

Hi! I’m Jess — Writer, Speaker, 2x Author, Podcast Host, Improv-Enthusiast, and Corporate Leadership Development Facilitator in Silicon Valley.

Not your average corporate career coach. I don’t separate who you are from what you do. I believe that when both are aligned is when you do your best work.

Twice a month you can find a new podcast episode on my show, Career Coaching with Jessness. Tune in for grounded, step-by-step guidance on finding work that aligns with your real strengths and authentic interests, while exploring the deeper inner journey of self-discovery.

You don’t have to stay in the same job forever, and it’s never too late to switch. When I work with people, I find one of the most common challenges is first figuring out what they want to do and what they are truly interested in. That’s one of my specialties… along with coaching on the art of job interviewing.

By day, I’m leading learning and development programs and facilitating leadership training at Intuitive, based in Silcon Valley. And when I’m not doing that, I’m probably writing or recording something.

My published books include Your Twenties (2018) and Thank You for Dumping Me (2024), where I explore self-discovery and aligning your inner and outer world by establishing a connection and trust with your -NESS. It’s in this place where you begin to relax into the unknown and trust the unfolding of your life. You trust that God and the Universe have your back, that you’re not alone in all this, and part of something so much bigger than yourself.

'Thank You for Dumping Me' was published in 2024. It's about my blindsided breakup, turned self-discovery and growth journey that I wouldn't take back for the world. It truly made me into who I am today, and I'm grateful for the experience! It allowed me to look at myself with honesty in ways I hadn't before, get down to the root of things, and heal in ways I didn't know I needed to. My breakup became a portal for transformation and self-discovery that cracked me wide open in the best way.

My hope is TYFDM can rebrand breakups from something feared and full of sorrow to opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Because sometimes the plot twist is actually a doorway into something we didn’t know we needed.
